STALKER Day 1

I won’t catalog the game quests that I go through since everyone who plays STALKER will do them. I’ll detail my random encounters or adventures that were particularly fun.
Outside of Cordon there’s a military patrol that regularly walks past. Using the sniper rifle given to me by Wolf, I set myself up on a high vantage point, hidden behind some bushes. I followed the patrol until they reached optimal distance and sniped the lead in the head. Before his two partners had a chance to react, I picked the one to the right off with a headshot as well. The patrol on the left dove into the bushes.
I watched through my scope for him to pop up and it wasn’t long until I heard gunfire. It was aimed at me, however. Lefty had awoken a somethin’ awful mutant. He managed to kill it, but not before I had him in my sights. Another headshot and the patrol was done.
I should have cleared the first two bodies from the road. The military noticed their patrol was missing and sent out a squad of nine to search for them. These guys were much more experienced and had heavier armor and weapons. I ducked back into the STALKER base and hoped they’d decide not to search the town.
This might have worked if not for that dumbass Nimble I had just rescued during a previous excursion. He was hovering on the outskirts of town when the recovery squad neared. I heard Nimble’s first shot, followed by return fire from nine sub-machine guns. Nimble was wasted damn near instantly. I ducked behind a fence and raised my sniper rifle. The other STALKERS took cover throughout the town and opened fire on the squad. While they kept them distracted, I deftly picked them off one-by-one.
I was smart enough to hide the bodies this time. The squad and the patrol rest quietly in a pile in the back room of the blue house in town.
